1939 - Before the buildings
of the campus moved to the east
of Raguet Street. The limited buildings
of the pre-war years were limited to the
area of pines ("Owl Woods").
  1947-This aerial photograph
appeared in the binding pages of
the 1947 Stone Fort Yearbook.
The new Memorial Field is on the right
and Austin and Rusk Buildings to the left.
  1949   This 1964 aerial view is taken
before the great expansion of
the Steen years. The new University
Center, however, can be seen in
front of the Austin Building.

1969 aerial view of the central part
of the city of Nacogdoches.
  Dr. Steen commissioned an "Aerial
Painting" in 1974-75. This painting can
be seen enlarged in the next example.

campus, showing the dorms in the
old Griffith Park, the expansion all
the way to the coliseum.
  1976 aerial view, which shows all
of the Steen buildings east of Raguet
Street: Library, Business, Education,
Stadium, Dorms, and Cafeteria.
